Fantastic write up and get to know you Jen! I can really relate to your pathway! I also studied biology at University instead of art, and then did Graphic design before pursuing my illustration. Though at the moment that is going at a slow pace with two wee ones. Excited to delve into your other articles you’ve linked!
Oh wow how cool! You know I often hear of people liking both art and biology, I really do think they go well together. And yes, totally, I'm going to talk about giving yourself permission to take things slow in my 'goals' newsletter as I also have two young kids and the youngest with additional needs has just started school and fighting the system is a full time job! We need to go easy on ourselves xxx thanks so much for commenting and happy new year! xxx
They do go very well! And I definitely considered the scientific illustration route, but I think it’s not expressive or have enough storytelling for me! Aw yes taking things slow is everything right now isn’t it. My heart goes out to you fighting the system for your youngest ❤️. Hope you have a wonderful New Year Jen, and your fights victorious.
Love it Jen, so cool to learn more about you. “If you want to climb a tree, don’t be afraid to lose a shoe or two along the way” I shall remember that. Your journey is so inspiring <3
Wow, that seed bank story is so very cool! 😍 I didn’t know you did all that (the super sciency biology) while being a graphic designer as well! You’re so awesome! 😊
Oh, wow. How cool about the seed lab!!! And, of course Humpty Dumpty Murder Mystery! There have been a couple of those published, so kid you was not wrong about the market! I loved getting to know a bit more about you, and can’t wait to hear more about your goals.
